DRIVEN by the rallying call, "I won’t quit, my time is now,” loveLife groundbreakers led young people in a movement of hope, solidarity and affirmation at the Sakhulutsha loveLife Y-Centre in Motherwell recently.
The event was part of a campaign which encourages young people to take charge of their destinies no matter what their circumstances. Called the Nakanjani Movement, the event included a march and information on study and career opportunities.
The Nakanjani Movement kicked off with young people gathering at the Motherwell Shopping Centre.
From there, they marched to the Sakhulutsha loveLife Y-Centre, where they were able to find out about various study and job opportunities offered by tertiary institutions, banks and corporates.
Tertiary institutions which participated included Damelin, MSC Business College and Eastern Cape Training Centre, while corporates that took part included Transnet, Coca-Cola, Nedbank and Umziwethu Foundation.
