Song, prayer and cleansing rituals during the Hindu festival Thai Poosam Kavady are the culmination of ten days of fasting by Tamil-speaking Hindus dedicated to the Lord Muruga. This festival is observed all over the world by Hindus. Herald photographer Fredlin Adriaan took a closer look.
