Rock battle's round two at Opera House tonight

ROCKERS will have another opportunity tonight to show what they are made of at the Kingfisher FM Do You Rock 2012 competition.

This after the last event, held at the Opera House on October 22, came to an abrupt end following a power outage.

Kingfisher FM's Lize-Mari Arthur said artists would be given another chance to perform at a "Boomerang Event" at the Opera House tonight.

Four of those who performed at the earlier event would be allowed to perform one song, while six others would perform two songs each. Contestants had to produce music with an uplifting message.

Prizes – worth more than R200000 – include a four-track CD recording, publishing sponsorship and website design.

"There is also a surprise recording contract which will be given to one of the performers," Arthur said.

Tickets for tonight's competition, which starts at 6.30pm, are available at R50 from The Market at Kings Court.
