WHAT has become a modern classic is injected with bubbly new life in 3D format as we once again follow the adventures of clown-fish Marlin (Albert Brooks) as he goes in search of his son Nemo (Alexander Gould).

There are a handful of animated pictures with true mass appeal – no matter what your age – and this Pixar gem was simply made for a 3D upgrade.

With its host of zany underwater characters, its high adventure and its extremely touching moments (yes, that beginning is still terribly sad!), with the its new dimension you feel like you’re in the water with them.

The enhanced movie ensures all the remarkable and vibrant marine imagery is made all the more spectacular as the creatures swim, cavort and dash about you.

Overly concerned about Nemo’s welfare (for good reason), Marlin is aghast when they lose each other in the Great Barrier Reef and the frantic father must embark on a high-risk rescue mission second to none.

He is helped in his task by Pacific regal blue tang Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) and all manner of other sea creatures.

With many a life lesson embedded in its watery world and full of warmth, emotion and terrific storytelling, this 3D spectacle is a holiday must even if you’ve seen the original.
