Cops do good job in suburbs

MY sincere thanks to Gelvandale SAPS for their vigilance and regular patrols in the Korsten/Schauderville area. They are doing a fantastic job under very trying conditions and need the support of the community in this area to curb crime.

Too often they are accused of not doing their job and this comes from some of the community members who are sitting on the outside, rather than getting themselves involved with the sector policing unit to combat crime. Crime meetings are held at the Jarman Hall, Schauderville and the community is invited regularly to give input.

However, too often they come up with excuses and yet the solution to these crime problems lies in our hands. Gelvandale SAPS, I salute you and keep up with the good work.
