To all police officers, traffic officials, disaster management personnel, ambulance paramedics, fire fighters and volunteers; to all the cleaners at restaurants, pubs, clubs, public amenities and shopping centres; to the countless unknown and unsung heroes and heroines who sacrifice precious time with their families over the holidays, so that ours may be more pleasurable, we salute you!
We thank you for your selflessness, dedication and good Samaritan work, and wish that we may be able to emulate your generosity of heart and spirit by picking up after ourselves, keeping public ablution facilities clean, cooperating with the public rules, regulations and laws, and being courteous and considerate to others, so that – at the very least – we may be able to make your work a tad easier.
Sincere thanks to you and your families – may you have as wonderful a 2013 as you have made ours thus far!
