THERE was chaos at Londt Park on Saturday when the Safa-NMB SAB League fixtures resumed after the Christmas recess.
Log leaders Real City arrived at the Callies home ground for a 1pm kick-off but their opponents were nowhere in sight.
The home side had a revised fixture list indicating that the match was scheduled to start at 3pm.
After a few frantic phone calls to Safa-NMB officials it was agreed the match would start at 2pm. But there was more drama when it was discovered that the match officials had been dropped off at the NMM Second Avenue campus and did not have transport to Londt Park.
They managed to get a lift to Greenacres and were fetched by Callies officials with the match eventually starting at 3pm.
Callies then caused the upset of the season when they thumped City 5-2 after leading 3-1 at the break. Luvayo Bika scored three goals including a penalty with Nkosinathi Ndamane and Ruvanno Williams adding one each.
Yesterday, Callies had to host Showvillage United when it was discovered late on Saturday that the NU2 Stadium was unavailable.
The Londt Park outfit came back twice to beat Showvillage 3-2. All goals were scored in the second half.
