EP juniors' home turf advantage

09 January 2013

EASTERN Province's leading tennis juniors will have a chance to demonstrate their prowess on home turf when the PE leg of the KeyHealth series starts at various venues today (09/01/2013).

A total of 223 young players have entered the event which caters for boys and girls from u-10 to u-18.

This is the last in a series of four KeyHealth tournaments played in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape over the December-January period, with the players having a quick turnaround from the East London leg which ended yesterday to the start of the PE competition today.

Much of the action will take place at the PE Lawn Tennis Club where the girls u-14, u-16 and u-18 sections will be played, plus the boys u-16 and u-18 divisions.

The boys u-12 and u-14 sections will be played at Collegiate and the girls u-12 at Westview. The u-10s will play at Newton Technical High School.

The tournament, with play starting at 8am each day, runs from today until Sunday, when the finals will take place at PE Club.
