Kiwis keen to bounce back in second test tomorrow

BATSMAN Kane Williamson says New Zealand learnt some harsh lessons at Newlands and are looking to bounce straight back when the second cricket test against South Africa starts at Axxess St George’s tomorrow (10.30am).

"The last test was certainly a learning curve, especially for the blokes who hadn’t played against the best team in the world, the South Africans,” said Williamson at a media conference yesterday.

"We are looking to take those lessons into these next few days to hold us in a better stead for this next game.”

New Zealand were tormented by the South African fast bowlers in the innings and 27-run defeat at Newlands, with Vernon Philander engineering their collapse to a first innings total of 45 all out.
