Kings recall for Britz

THE untimely knee injury sustained by hooker Hannes Franklin has forced the Southern Kings to call Boetie Britz into their Super Rugby training squad.

Kings director of rugby Alan Solomons said Britz, who had been part of the larger training squad before the break last year, would be recalled to the squad.

The Kings are hard at work preparing for the new season, and with their opening Super Rugby game against the Western Force looming on February 23 in Port Elizabeth, Solomons is taking no chances. The race is now on to see who starts at hooker.
