Doctor accused of child sex abuse in court

A PROMINENT Jeffreys Bay doctor accused of molesting four boys – three of them brothers – in nine years appeared briefly in the Humansdorp Magistrate's Court yesterday morning.

The 54-year-old general practitioner, who cannot be named until he formally pleads in court, was arrested in September following a series of criminal cases opened by the boys' families.

The arrest came after a month-long investigation by the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.
