16 January 2013
AN unidentified man shocked motorists when he jumped off a bridge onto a busy Nelson Mandela Bay freeway yesterday.

The man, in his 50s, leapt off the Commercial Road bridge over the N2 and survived the more than 8m fall.

He sustained serious injuries, including a fractured skull and broken leg.

Police spokeswoman Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg said the details were still sketchy.
