NEBFA are the only Local Football Association (LFA) affiliated to Safa-NMB who will continue their league programme this weekend.
However, the players are assured that they will not miss any of the action in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Matches are scheduled for this evening, tomorrow and Sunday morning.
Nebfa spokesman Jeffrey Sawuli said there was a huge backlog because of the inclement weather before the Christmas recess so the league programme had to continue.
Red City, who top the log on goal difference, play Eastern Jumpers in the late match at the New Brighton Oval tonight.
Joint-logleaders Bush Bucks will be in action against Pondo Stars at the Chevrolet Stadium on Sunday. Kick-off is at 9am.
