New Cunningham shock

A GOOD Samaritan who drove Port Elizabeth assault victim Shireen Ballan home on the night she was viciously beaten told yesterday how her alleged attacker followed them home from a wedding before assaulting all three occupants of the car.

Today, when 21-yearold Brent Cunningham stands in the dock during his formal bail application in the Ballan case, he is expected to face two new assault charges.

Cunningham, who has a prior conviction for assault, is accused of savagely beating Ballan, 36, in Morningside on December 27.

She was so badly beaten she had to be admitted to hospital.
