HEALTH DEPARTMENT BLUES

HEALTH MEC Sicelo Gqobana comes down here guns blazing. Replace 50 experienced doctors with 15 juniors. That's a big step in the right direction.

ANON

OUR department of health is full of nepotism. The MEC can try everything, but when the rat is still around it'll never be good in hospitals.

ACE, PE

SO our Health MEC decides to finally do his job. Someone needs to remind him a year has 365 days.

ANON

HEALTH MEC has a big month 'coz he is under fire with the hospital on the brink of closing. We need competent people running this country.

AL

DEFINITELY a man we can work. His honesty is unprecedented. We need to encourage and assist him. Gqobana is definitely a man of good character.

ANON

IT is high time Health MEC Sicelo Gqobana sorted out his main problem, namely Sizwe Kupelo !

BACK TO SCHOOL

OPENING of schools still the same, 64 children in a class is a recipe for a disaster. May God strengthen our educators.

PARKSIDE Primary school pupils on front page of Herald aged 4 and 5 years, surely you must have made a mistake with their age!

JAY, PE

Parkside Primary has a pre-primary facility which these children attend.

EDUCTION Dept saves by keeping teachers on contract – they usually don't get paid for Jan and maybe for Feb as well.

MUNICIPAL MANAGER

CITY set back 500k for manager. I know the mayor has good intention but we the rate payers have forked out enough money for the NMBM for all their flops.

SICKEN

When I grow up ... Little kids, big dreams. Start school. Oops no one wants to become a municipal manager.

M NEGRES

DEAR Piet Naude, I have a Sabre you might like to send to China – should they need to adopt a warlike stance.
