Lockett returns to winning ways

BYRON Lockett returned to competitive swimming yesterday, winning the EP 3km Open Water Championship at Marina Martinique in 36.41sec, 41sec ahead of the Jones brothers Daniel (37.24) and Jason (37.56). Caro de Jager, 14, claimed the women's EP title in a time of 39.35.

Olympic swimmer Jessica Roux won the 10km in a time of 2:13, with Tammy Geyer in second place in 2:30.
