Matrics in battle to get results

22 January 2013
Zandile Mbabela

THE Eastern Cape Education Department is scrambling to release the correct results of some pupils, many of whom sought to improve their 2011 results to gain entry into their desired university programmes.

As registration in the province's universities and colleges looms, the pupils are in a panic as they fear they may miss the cut-off dates and forfeit their places.

The pupils, who were upgrading on their original matric subjects to meet entry requirements at tertiary institutions, have been sent from pillar to post in their quest to obtain their results.

When the results were released at the beginning of the month, some had no result while others were missing marks in certain subjects.

Those with results problems should call Mrs Mbeleki on (043)604-7788.
