Insensitive to poor masses

I AM amazed at the cuckoo land in which so many people writing into the Herald and organising South African events must live.

Some responses to the so-called water purification crisis for instance suggested that we only drink bottled water. What percentage of our population can afford this option?

An organiser of Afcon, in response to the problem of purchasing more than six tickets with one ID, says that this isn’t in fact a problem at all because any amount of tickets may be purchased over the internet.

Again what percentage of the South African soccer loving public is in a position to use this option?
