PORT Elizabeth is now home to a world-class showroom after international sportswear, footwear and apparel brand Puma grew its presence in the city this week.
The launch of Puma's new showroom in Walmer yesterday also attracted international attention as the company's chief executive Franz Koch, from Germany, attended the event.
Local Puma marketing director Brett Bellinger said the company first set up shop in Port Elizabeth 12 years ago and had gone from strength to strength since.
The new showroom was another step in growing the company's presence in Nelson Mandela Bay, he said.
The showroom conformed with international standards and retailers could view next season's merchandise in advance, before purchasing goods, he said.
"The brand is also very popular because we get behind teams and people like the Southern Kings, Bafana Bafana, the Bulls, AB de Villiers and Francois Hougaard," Bellinger said.
