Car dealer faces 21 additional criminal charges

THE Uitenhage used car dealer who was arrested in December last year for allegedly attempting to sell 10 stolen cars faces additional charges following the confiscation of more stolen cars that he allegedly sold.

Monte Carlo Motors owner Simon van Vuuren, 65, out on bail of R20000 after appearing in the Uitenhage Magistrate's Court in December, will soon face 21 additional criminal charges after police tracked and confiscated numerous more suspected stolen cars over the past month.

At the time of Van Vuuren's arrest he was charged with 10 counts of possession of suspected stolen vehicles.
