Blooming lovely reusable bag

23 January 2013
IF ONE of your New Year's resolutions was to recycle, then you may love these colourful re-usable shopping bags that fold up into a compact fabric flower.

The bags, distributed by Tassels and Treasures, measure 41cm x 43cm and are made of parachute-like material in a range of colours and designs.

Why we like it: This handy bag is not as bulky as many "shoppers" but can still take milk, bread and the newspaper with ease – plus it is much, much prettier than a plastic packet!

By using a fabric shopping bag, you will not only reduce the amount of plastic you are buying but also save on the cost of buying those packets.

The smaller size is an asset as once scrunched back into its flower pod cover, you can pop it into your handbag, or store in the side pocket of your car for those moments when you have to nip into the supermarket unexpectedly.

You can find these fabric fold-up bags at the Verandah in St Francis Bay.

For a collection point in Sunridge Park, Port Elizabeth, order online at www.basicallybears.co.zawhere, on presentation of this report in La Femme, Basically Bears is selling the bags at R40 (normal retail price R45).
