ON Thursday last week at about 5.45pm a white commercial panel van speeding down College Drive, Mill Park, hit and killed my dog.
The van did not stop despite the desperate screams from my neighbour who saw the incident.
Tumble was 18 months old, naughty, playful, happy and brought great joy to my family.
We bought him from Animal Welfare. I am at home all day and he was my friend and companion who always welcomed us home. My family were distraught, and we miss him dearly, as he wormed his way into our daily lives.
It would have been sufficient for you to have stopped and grieved a little with us – just to say you were sorry – as it was Tumble who just ran across the road in front of you.
Perhaps had you been driving slower you would have seen and avoided him. You can still say you are sorry.
