British journalist dies in Cape crash

A BRITISH journalist has been killed and another injured in an accident during the world launch of a new BMW motorcycle in the south-western Cape.

Daily Telegraph motorcycling correspondent Kevin Ash, 53, died in the crash on Tuesday evening and another UK journalist, Alan Davies, whose age and other details could not be established, was injured.

Western Cape police spokesman Captain Malcolm Pojie said the accident happened in part of the Baviaanskloof between the Karoo towns of Willowmore and Uniondale.
