Education official acts in Kuyga dispute

THE Education Department has stepped in to intervene in the ongoing feud between parents at the Kuyga Intermediate School over mother-tongue tuition.

There are 469 Xhosa-speaking pupils and 399 Afrikaans speakers. The Greenbushes school has 15 Xhosa teachers, including the principal, and three Afrikaans teachers.
