City rocked by women's murders

THE gruesome murders of two women at the weekend – on different sides of the city – has rattled the Port Elizabeth community.

The half-naked, lifeless body of a Schauderville mother was discovered outside De Vos Malan Primary School in the northern areas yesterday morning. She was allegedly strangled, stuffed into a refuse bag and dumped in a drain.

Meanwhile, on Saturday afternoon, in the affluent suburb of Beverley Grove, a 76-year- old grandmother was beaten to death in her home.
