Southern Kings 'will rise to the challenge'

SOUTHERN Kings rugby chairman Cheeky Watson says his team will rise to the challenge after news surfaced that SA rugby bosses are set to refuse his request to include four foreign players in Super Rugby matches this year.

In an effort to bolster their squad, the Kings signed five overseas players and had been hoping to use four in each match, even though the current rules state that only two are permitted.

Asked to comment on reports that the SA Rugby Union had dismissed the request, Watson said he was aware of the latest development.
