NMMU off to smooth start

SOCIAL work, education, law and human resource management appear the most popular choices among first-year students, according to application statistics at the various universities in the Eastern Cape.

As universities get ready for the start of the academic year next month, excited and nervous first- year students are making their way to the registration halls, with others scheduled to join them next week.

Walter Sisulu University (WSU) and the University of Fort Hare began registration on January 21 and 22 respectively, while Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMMU) started yesterday. Rhodes University students register on February 3 and 4.
