Ed-U-College facing eviction over debt

30 January 2013

PORT Elizabeth private school Ed-U-College is facing an application for liquidation and eviction for a R1-million debt.

The application has been brought by the landlord, Transnet.

The school's chief executive, Lilian Niemann, however, said not a cent was owed to Transnet.

She said the school would continue teaching pupils as it had done for the past 16 years.

The application, following failed intervention by the public protector, will be opposed by the school.
