Family recipe for success

HAIR Academy is the brainchild of Marietta Millard. As a fully qualified educator, Marietta spent many years in the education industry.

She saw a gap in the industry for a privatised hairdressing institute and through hard work and sheer determination was able to open the first private hairdressing academy in the Eastern Cape.

In 2002 Anny Britz joined Marietta at the academy. Being the daughter of Marietta, Anny had first-hand experience of life in the beauty industry.

With their business savvy and vision for the school, Marietta and Anny began transforming the academy from a small school to the fully accredited educational institute it is today. Working as a team they have made amazing changes in the industry.

Since opening their doors in 1999 Images 1 Hair Academy has grown from strength to strength. Images 1 now has full accreditation from the Services SETA, making them the only nationally and internationally accredited training provider in the Eastern Cape.

All the educators at the academy have successfully completed more than one hairdressing trade qualification and stay up to date with the latest developments in the industry.

Marietta and Anny’s hard work and determination have led to success within the industry as well as with Images 1 Hair Academy. The academy is the life and soul of these women and their passion for the industry is the driving force behind the company’s success.

Marietta and Anny’s skills developed along with the academy and increased demands for higher levels of training.

The ongoing process of development has meant that they have remained current with changes within the hairdressing industry over the last 10 years.

Marietta has an education background and has been teaching since 1970, while Anny is the business minded partner.

Together the mother and daughter pair make a formidable team.
