I AM disgusted and devastated at the senseless loss of life of two of our Bay residents. I knew Lorraine Shephard, aged 76, who was such a grand lady. It was impossible to walk past Cardies and not pop in for a hug and a chat in days gone by. Why kill a defenceless old lady in her golden years? Why kill a mother and a granny? This hole can never be filled and the heartache never healed. To Dawn, Chris, Jessie and Lauren, my condolences, thoughts and prayers are with you all. To the other family suffering the same heartache, you are also in our prayers. Two lives gone in an instant and for what. There is no justice in this land of rainbows, only a dark shadow on how cheap life has become without any remorse.
