A TRAUMA Net ambulance medic was arrested at an accident scene on the M4 Settlers Way yesterday morning following a four-month investigation into complaints about private ambulances speeding and being driven recklessly in Nelson Mandela Bay
The investigation by the traffic department followed a series of complaints by motorists.
The 26-year-old medic, who cannot be named until he appears in court, was arrested moments after arriving at the scene of an accident in which a taxi transporting 12 people rolled near the Mount Road off-ramp.
The VW Golf, branded with Trauma Net stickers and fitted with emergency lights, was later taken to the traffic department.
