EASTERN Cape Health MEC Sicelo Gqobana has laughed off a rant by his former superintendent-general.
Gqobana was branded a "risky" and "aggressive" politician who needed to be educated about running a government department.
This was contained in a letter lodged with the Public Service Commission (PSC) by former provincial health boss Siva Pillay.
Gqobana said Pillay was entitled to his views even though they were laughable. "I would like to warn Dr Pillay not to personalise government issues. He has been at the helm of the department for three years and during that time there were issues I had to correct myself because Pillay was not following the correct procedures," the MEC said.
