Shezi sparks dominant display by the Dolphins

01 February 2013
THE Dolphins ended day one of their Sunfoil Series cricket clash against the Chevrolet Warriors in a commanding position in Durban, having reached on 170 for five for an overall lead of 78 runs.

Having won the toss and elected to bowl, the Dolphins had a dream first session, rolling the visitors out for just 92 in a manic start to the match.

Mthokozisi Shezi grabbed five for 28, swinging the ball on a helpful pitch, while Kyle Abbott (3/19) and Craig Alexander (2/34) also chipped in.

The Warriors were reduced to 10 for three as early as the fifth over, as Shezi had Michael Price and Davy Jacobs caught flashing, before Abbott induced an edge behind from Arno Jacobs.
