Tension as chief whip faces hearing

DEFIANT Nelson Mandela Bay ANC chief whip Feziwe Sibeko is to be hauled before the party's Eastern Cape disciplinary committee today and quizzed over why she has not obeyed an order to resign.

The hearing is expected to be mired in controversy.

Several ANC members are planning a protest march as they accompany Sibeko to provincial headquarters at Calata House in King William's Town.

The planned protest is the latest in a string of damaging ANC clashes in the Bay which, despite intervention by President Jacob Zuma last year, have yet to be resolved.
