FIVE ice-cream vendors, who allegedly beat and kicked their British boss to death and stuffed his body and that of his barely alive parents in chest freezers, appeared in the Port Elizabeth High Court yesterday.
Darren Stanley, 34, and his parents, Anne and Eric, both 63, all of Butterfield Road, Greenbushes, were savagely assaulted shortly after the 2010 Fifa World Cup following a wage dispute with a group of workers.
Anne, who was stabbed and beaten, died of unrelated causes shortly after the incident. Eric – who had always been a bit forgetful, according to his family – became significantly worse after the attack.
The trial continues.
