Doesn't the councillor keep eye on his ward?

WELL done to Dave Moulang, of Summerstrand, who took the photo of the poor sign at the intersection of Darling and Sidon streets (January 22). I had reported the matter to the metro a couple of days earlier.

What shocks me is the councillor for the area, who I believe is Jeremy Davies of the DA, will most likely know nothing about it. That sign took a long time to get to that state, it did not just happen overnight. He also has no idea of the filthy street outside Chapman Bothers in Boswell Street.

I wonder why these councillors have cars. You would think they would ride through their wards from time to time to check on matters and not leave it up to the taxpayer to bring everything to the metro's attention. Why do we have councillors?
