THE resort of Jeffreys Bay is reeling after one of its leading clothing designers plummeted to her death from a clifftop during a mugging while walking with her daughter to a concert in Cape Town.

Billabong product manager Dawnsy Mieny, 47 – who was dating Johan Carstens, brother of singer Arno Carstens – died in a 50-metre fall off the clifftop after being pushed in a struggle with her assailant on Tuesday evening.

Her daughter Jasmin, 21, witnessed the attack and screamed as her mom plummeted to her death after taking a shortcut through Cape Town's Bo Kaap at about 6pm on Tuesday.
