Municipality 'ignores' dire water situation

SUNDAYS River Valley township residents claim their water supply is so bad it is making people sick.

Taps have also being running dry in parts of the municipality for the past four months. When the water returns, residents claim it is brown and causes stomach bugs.

And residents of Moses Mabhida and Aquapark townships claim the municipality is ignoring the problem.

Quinton Ciki, 22, of Moses Mabhida, said it was difficult to live with an unpredictable water supply. "It has been an ongoing problem for a while now. We cannot cook or do laundry because there is hardly any water."
