New city boss may be named

NELSON Mandela Bay enters day four today without an acting municipal manager nor a head of operations.

By the end of the day, however, the situation could change as a council meeting will be convened this morning where councillors will attempt to resolve the leadership debacle.

Meanwhile, the dire situation means that payments or other contracts could not be signed since Monday.

Any payments authorised in this period could amount to unauthorised expenditure.
