Beauty school a world hit

ELIZABETH Beauty School in Port Elizabeth was named the CIBTAC centre of the year at the association’s annual awards in London recently.

CIBTAC is the education arm of the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology, of which Elizabeth Beauty School is an accredited training centre.

The school received the prestigious international award out of a nominated group of schools worldwide.

Elizabeth Beauty School principal, Elizabeth Landman said they were thrilled to receive such a high accolade. "The requirements and standards set by CIBTAC are high and students with this qualification are in great demand locally and internationally,” Landman said.

She said the skin care and cosmetology industry was growing worldwide and it was important students had the necessary skills and qualifications.

CIBTAC provides these requirements to enable qualified students to work as professional therapists.
