A THUNDERSTORM over Nelson Mandela Bay caused 40 minutes of drama yesterday as heavy rainfall, accompanied by hail and lightning, led to flash flooding and power outages in the city.

Flooding was also reported in low-lying areas like Schauderville.

A stream of posts on social network site Facebook also reported roads, homes and gardens being flooded in mere minutes.
