How many others are amassing wealth?

I READ with interest about the arrest of traffic officer Mbulelo Ngwenze ("Traffic cop in court for bribery", February 7), who was a shop steward. He was known for vigorously defending fellow officers who were charged with misconduct, including "dishonest" behaviour.

I am glad to see that his actions are brought to book and wonder how many more officers are hard at work amassing wealth based on the widespread theory that a policeman/traffic officer makes his first million in just nine months.
