Businesses begin big mop-up

MOP-UP operations began yesterday for several Nelson Mandela Bay businesses affected by Sunday’s freak thunderstorm.

While some businesses were still taking stock of the damage, others had already called in insurance assessors.

During the storm, part of the roof of EX-ES Engineering in Newton Park was blown off. Parts of Greenacres Shopping Centre’s roof were also damaged by the storm, which started at about 3pm.
