MANY of The Herald writers are commentating about the institution of marriage declining in numbers. Please correct this idea.
Marriage is not an institution, but a covenant between a man and woman and God.
Nowhere in the Scripture is it defined otherwise.
For pagans, Christian marriage is ridiculous because it can then be interpreted to mean anything.
Whether it is conducted in a church or at the magistrate’s court is irrelevant.
In fact a "marriage officer” is only there for registry purposes and is not part of the covenant. The "threefold rope” which does not easily break cannot include a fourth person.
Likewise the destruction of the family unit is evident everywhere. It is always said that the new world order must be based on a society in which the traditional family unit (Judeo-Christian value) must be altogether destroyed.
This is perfectly in line with the prophet Isaiah’s statement thousands of years ago: "The earth is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.” (Chapter 24)
The little children are the worst victims and nothing but sex toys (while the porn kings and cellphone companies add fuel to the fire, coining big money). South Africa will face absolute ruin because of these sins.
