I WATCHED all 32 games of the Orange Africa Cup and when Nigeria beat Ivory Coast, I informed my friends that Nigeria would lift the trophy for the first time in 19 years. The players were in good form, oozing with a lot of confidence and I also noticed they were very good up front.

The game on Sunday was also won in the first half and they had lot of ball possession in the first half, but during second half, they were defending. I watched them when they were under attack and they brought all the players at the back to make sure that the defenders were well covered.

I must also applaud the referee as he was on top of the game and he handled the game very fairly.

We can now go back to our drawing board and look forward to the PSL games which will be starting soon.
