TWO Port Elizabeth men charged with forcing their foster children into a horrendous web of sexual abuse, rape and pornography yesterday pleaded with the High Court to release them on bail.
They cited ill health and grave concerns over their safety in prison.
The two men, aged 38 and 47, brought an urgent application for bail before Acting Judge Justin Laing.
The court heard that both men were selling holiday timeshare when they met. Their friendship then led to them swapping partners and then allegedly to months of horrific sexual assaults on the two victims.
The two said yesterday they would plead not guilty to all charges.
