THE government has made an about-turn and put on hold a decision to have Bhisho take over Nelson Mandela Bay after behind-the-scenes negotiations by ANC leaders at the weekend.

But cabinet minister and ANC national deployee Derek Hanekom warned that the government would "not hesitate to go ahead" if they believed it was warranted.

Message to Derek Hanekom: The people of all socio-economic levels in the NMMM are beyond caring about the juvenile squabbles amongst the cadres pursuing their own interests. We had the Faku debacle (any thoughts on why we STILL haven't seen the final outcome of Kabuso, Derek?), followed by the Wayile bumbling, all the while watching the slow-motion train smash of collapsing municipal delivery from toxic water to billions wasted on failed transport schemes. Here's the solution: dissolve the Municipality and have an election so that we can dump the ANC and the incompetent "deployees" that are sucking the kitty dry while we all suffer in one way or the other.
