Force bring on big guns for Bay clash

18 February 2013
George Byron

THE return of fearless Wallaby flank Hugh McMeniman has given the Western Force a big boost ahead of their Super Rugby match against the Southern Kings at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.

After missing his team's opening match against the Melbourne Rebels on Friday, McMeniman is set to start in Saturday's match in Port Elizabeth when the Kings make their Super Rugby debut.
Kings director of rugby Alan Solomons, who is expected to name his line-up tomorrow, will have selection issues to consider after his team slumped to a narrow 30-27 defeat against Griquas last Wednesday.

While Solomons is likely to start with much of the team that did duty against Griquas, he and head coach Matt Sexton might include a few surprises.

McMeniman's inclusion means the Force have four Wallabies in their squad for their two-match Super Rugby South African leg against the Kings and Bulls.
