THE Herald quotes MEC Mlibo Qoboshiyane as saying the Nelson Mandela metro will be placed under administration due to the "gravity of the situation" ("Bhisho to take over the metro, February 13). In terms of this, Qoboshiyane will appoint administrators to run the metro.
It is the same Qoboshiyane who seconded the incompetent Themba Hani to run this metro into the ground a year and a half ago. This is the same Qoboshiyane who serves on the ANC's provincial executive committee who continuously ignored dealing with political problems of blatant defiance by ANC deployees.
It is the very same Qoboshiyane who collaborated with other deployees to make this metro a mess so he can take over under the cloak of administration.
The people of this metro are not stupid! For the past year and a half Qoboshiyane and his crew have had control of the metro through their ill-conceived Section 154 team.
This team, under the very incompetent Hani, ran amok and looted this municipality into the ground. Many of them are still here!
Now because there is going to be some stability after Hani has left, he is again trying to manipulate taking control of the metro, this time through Section 139 intervention.
The best thing for Qoboshiyane to do is to leave our metro alone. It is he who seconded Hani and it is because of him that this chaos ensued.
Before Hani there were no problems except for the normal challenges being experienced by all local governments in the province.
Qoboshiyane, please take your team, Section 154, Section 139 or any other kind, and leave our metro alone! We can see through you!
