MY daughter has just qualified and is looking for a job. She has been for numerous interviews, but not even one company has even SMSed back to say her application was unsuccessful! It's disgusting! What happened to good manners?

THERE are still a lot of crooks in the SAPS. I was involved in an accident when a drunk woman deliberately bumped into my car. Having established that I was sober as what a judge should be, I was rushed to the same hospital, which wasn't busy that day. The case was withdrawn without my knowledge, the reason being blood was drawn after two hours. I had to challenge them to reopen the case as I'm sitting without a car and hers is fixed. Sies!

JUST because you're in uniform that doesn't mean you're God. I was shocked and appalled that there are still racist white police personnel. I witnessed a scene in Sidwell where a white policeman was assaulting a man. When a woman questioned him and threatened to take a video of the assault with her phone, he just went for her, swearing and shouting. I couldn't believe it that in this day and age there's still a man in uniform with that kind of attitude. They aren't gods and something needs to be done. They are supposed to protect and uphold the law but these days we are not safe in the hands of the police. Then who's gonna protect us.

WHEN is the ANC going to stop promising gullible people still believing them? They haven't done anything for the 19 years except enrich themselves.

POOR management, selfish politics and Samwu union domination of the municipality has destroyed morale, eliminated productivity and resulted in low quality staff appointments. Exorbitant electricity tariffs is one way of partially recovering the loss.

GREAT letter, Ed Gutsche. Nail on the head. We desperately need a very visible traffic department who will take their jobs extremely seriously.

WELL said, Mr Gutsche. Chief traffic officer Hamilton Totoyi should have been fired long ago along with his lazy and incompetent comrades.

SHORTAGE of thoroughbred dogs in police force: perhaps they are looking for horses. Dogs are purebred not thoroughbred.
